This is a Sphenoid Bone (NOT a pelvis as most people think). The Sphenoid bone is a tiny part of your skull - just behind the eye. This bone assists with the formation of the base of the cranium, the sides of the skull, and the floors and walls of each of the orbits (thanks, Wikipedia). The scroll, covered in verbs, wraps around this basic foundation-fragment of a human; we are much more than the pieces we are built from.
