I love working with skateboard brands because there are very few creative/content limitations...

So when KFD contacted me about working on a series of 3 skate decks it was like Christmas... a dark, sacrificial, creepy Christmas. This series is called "Memento Mori" (Latin for "a reminder that you are going to die" - an artistic or symbolic reminder of the inevitability of death, according to the trusty Oxford Dictionary).

Aesthetically, this was about pushing things to the darkest and getting as much occult symbology and iconography in there as possible. This was so much fun to work on, and the final range of decks were printed in black and gold, on black-stained wood.
